I thought this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated about Thanksgiving in Jefferson, Texas this year. You can save the link and the blog is private: only those with the link can see the information. I don't have it searchable via the web.
Lodging & Food
We have a lovely historic home in Jefferson, Texas reserved for November 27 - December 01, 2019. Check-in is on Wednesday, November 27 at 1 PM and checkout is on Sunday, December 01 at 2 PM. We currently have 13 confirmed for the four night stay and we anticipate about 17-20 for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. We are currently working on a menu and value your input. Here is what we have so far:
Church Services
Emmanuel SDA Church in Marshall, Texas is where we will worship on Sabbath, November 30. Sabbath school starts at 9:15 AM and main worship services begin at 11:10 AM. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM.
The church, 1101 Indian Springs Road in Marshall, is about 20-30 minutes from where we are staying.

- Wednesday dinner: chili, big franks, chips, and toppings (vegan options provided)
- Thursday breakfast: oatmeal bar and croissants
- Thursday dinner: dressing, quorn turkey roast, fried turkey, sweet potatoes, greens, dessert
- Friday: country breakfast - grits, vegan sausage, biscuits, tofu scramble
- Friday dinner: leftovers and/or take out
- Saturday morning: continental breakfast
- Saturday after church: chipotle style lunch - black beans, rice, guacamole, salsa, etc.
- Saturday evening: leftovers and/or take out
